Collection of quality furnished apartments and well maintained homes offering basic amenities for your stay.
Neighborhood overview A peaceful, secluded getaway, this home offers a secluded natural setting that is still a short drive to town. At the end of a private road and a little over a mile from I-89, it sits on the edge of hundreds of acres of forest and overlooks a large meadow with expansive views of the Green Mountains. This private apartment has its own entrance, reached by a well-lit stone path. The house is shared with upstairs tenants, a young couple with two children who live with them part time. French doors and windows with mountain views bring light and a feeling of openness to the newly constructed basement apartment. Fully furnished right down to new bedroom, bathroom and kitchen linens, the apartment features an open living area, full kitchen, walk-in tile shower, radiant heat, an on-site washer and dryer & ample kitchen, bedroom and bathroom storage. The open living area includes an eat at kitchen island. The futon in the living converts to a bed for guests. The bedroom is private while allowing in plenty of light via a wall cut-out to the living area. Kitchen appliances are less than 2 years old and the well-outfitted kitchen includes an Instant Pot, air fryer, blender and over-the-range microwave. An air purifier & humidifier are also provided. Stacked washer and dryer are located in the bathroom. Radiant heat and insulating curtains keep the apartment warm in the winter; an air conditioner is available but seldom needed in the summer. Satellite internet is included in the monthly rent as are electric, heat, driveway plowing and Apple TV. The half-mile long driveway is hilly and like any other road in Vermont can be snow-covered and/or icy in the winter. Snow tires and/or a four wheel drive vehicle will handle all but the worst conditions. Tenant is responsible for garbage/recycling/compost and snow removal (I can provide contact info if you would like to hire someone). Dogs not encouraged, but considered with an additional security deposit and monthly fee. There is a strict no-smoking policy both inside and within 100 feet of the building. Minutes from this idyllic natural setting, is a vibrant community of just over 5,000. Waterbury, Vermont, located in the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains, has earned a reputation as a foodie, microbrewery and recreation destination. Downtown is home to a mix of residential neighborhoods, civic and cultural facilities, and independent, small businesses. The walkable village center offers eclectic local shops and regionally renowned restaurants crafting inspired menus from local produce and products. Events throughout the year bring together locals and visitors to celebrate small town life, including summer concerts on the Green, the Arts Fest, NQID (Not Quite Independence Day), and Winterfest. A couple of miles from downtown, Waterbury Center attracts visitors from far and wide as home to Ben & Jerrys and The Cider Mill. Setting Waterbury apart as a recreation destination are Little River State Park; the Waterbury Reservoir (the ninth largest body of water in Vermont) which offers a public beach, swimming, boating, picnicking, and camping; and Putnam State Forest and its Perry Hill trail network, a mecca for mountain bikers. In the winter, skiing is nearby at Stowe, Sugarbush and Bolton Valley. A mere 20-minute drive from Montpelier and 30 minutes from Burlington, Waterbury is a short drive from big city life (Vermonts version) and all it has to offer.,
