In the summer, you have access to the lakefront including: fishing poles and gear, swimming, and many boating options (canoe, giant and standard standup paddle boards, sit on top kayak, and life jackets). Enjoy grilling on the deck, and dinner at the picnic table, and a game of cornhole from the deck box. This beautifully and well appointed guest space is safe and secure for solo travelers as well as groups of up to 4! It is also super convenient to town, only 1.2 miles to North Pole restaurants, groceries, hardware and auto parts and only 1.6 miles to iconic Santa Claus House. Only 15 minutes to Eielson Air Force Base & Fort Wainwright Army Post, making it ideal for work trips, relaxation, & adventure alike. This is a quiet, peaceful, beautiful, place to stay in a friendly and safe neighborhood. This Alaskan hangar apartment is in the most convenient yet peaceful part of North Pole, and yet you can take in spectacular views of the Aurora Borealis from the front deck next to the lake while surrounded by the stillness of nature. The master bedroom is outfitted with all the comforts of home, including a plush king bed with authentic Pendleton quilted bedding, smart TV, adjustable mood lighting, ceiling fan, luggage racks and room darkening shades. The open floor plan living room and kitchen area features a sectional fold-out couch with plenty of cozy blankets and pillows and smart TV for nights relaxing. For added convenience, the bathroom is located between the master bedroom and the kitchen area and offers bonus walk-in closet and stacked laundry. If you have your own plane (on skis, floats or wheels), you can fly in to stay with us. If so, please reach out and we will provide you with detailed information on the airfield and float pond, tie downs, fuel and maintenance options. Your dog may be welcome depending on advance approval and reference checks. We live nearby and are available if you need help. When arriving by road, 4 wheel or AWD is recommended during winter months. We partner with Dreambnb, a management company.
