Decked Out on Marbury

Decked Out on Marbury is a beautifully updated two-story home on a deep-water canal in the heart of Longboat Key. Boasting 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, this resort-like home has plenty of fun amenities to ensure a memorable vacation for the entire family. The private house comfortably sleeps 10 and features a boat dock for those interested in bringing their personal watercraft.

As you enter the home you will immediately go into vacation mode. The large entryway leads you to a variety of places to explore. Tucked directly to your left is a cozy den with a comfy sleeper sofa, over-sized bean bag chair, decorative console with TV and arcade-style golf game. A perfect little hideaway for the kid in all of us. Immediately to the right is the two-car garage entrance and a staircase that leads to the second story bedrooms.

As you continue into the heart of the home you will find the formal dining room with a large, ornate wooden table with seating for 8, and buffet table to place all the delicious foods you will prepare in the gourmet kitchen. Just a few steps away is the inviting living room with over-stuffed couches, ottoman, chaise lounge and large flat-screen TV. Watch out for the octopus! French doors and large windows offer up amazing views of the pool and canal, as well as access to the backyard oasis.

Around the corner from the living room is the spacious and updated kitchen with gorgeous granite countertops, high-end appliances and warm toned cabinetry. A cook's dream, the large space is well-equipped with everything needed to make a home-cooked meal and more. The granite bar with 7 stools is a great place to watch the cook in action or grab a quick bite before heading out to the beach. A small pool bathroom is conveniently located by the French doors in the kitchen, and the laundry room with large ice machine is just steps away.

On the first floor you will find the primary bedroom suite on one end of the house, and the kids oversized bedroom at the other end near the kitchen. The primary bedroom contains a comfortable king bed appointed with soft bedding and flat-screen TV. French doors lead to the private pool and backyard. The primary bath has a tile enclosed, walk-in shower, granite top vanity and private restroom. The children's bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds, large dresser and private bathroom with tub and shower.

On the second floor there is a nice reading nook in the hallway and two guest bedrooms, both with queen size beds, TV's and dresser space. They each have their own private bathroom with tub and shower.

Outside is where all the fun begins! The private backyard hosts a heated pool, putting green, fire pit, dock and a variety of loungers, chairs, and couches to relax and soak in the sunshine. A round dining table and chairs, plus high-top bar with seats offers options for dining al fresco. Ready to explore the canals and Gulf of Mexico? Plenty of kayaks are available on the side of the house and there is room to tie up your boat at the dock. When it's time to explore the island on land, bicycles can be found in the two-car garage along with plenty of beach toys and essentials.

Other Things to Note:

Pet Fee: This is a pet friendly home and allows up to two dogs. Please include your pet in your booking so we can make the appropriate departure cleaning arrangements. A $250 pet fee is required to help with the departure cleaning to remove pet hair and dander from any furnishings and floors for our future guests. Dogs are not allowed in the pool at any time as the filtration system is not designed for filtering pet hair. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to hosting you and your pup!

Pool Heater: We recommend only heating the pool in the months of October through May, as the pool during summer months should not need heating. If you’d like the pool heated during your stay, please let us know 48 hours or more before your arrival so we can have it ready for you. Please note, if you request heating after check-in, a $50 service fee will be added for our team to come out and activate the heater. Dogs are not allowed in the pool at any time as the filtration system is not designed for filtering pet hair. Longboat Key Life

Once a vacation land of the Timucuan and Caloosa Indians, Longboat Key is a quieter gulf-side retreat located between Lido Key and Anna Maria Island along Florida's southwest coast. The barrier island is surrounded by the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay. The island's eastern shoreline is covered in mangroves with hidden canals and marinas. On the western shoreline, you can walk for miles on the white sandy beaches and swim in the gentle gulf. Imagine spending your days beachcombing, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, sailing, golfing, or cycling along the island's winding bike path.

Longboat Key is known for its abundance of dining options. With the Gulf and Sarasota Bay in its backyard, many restaurants focus on serving local, fresh seafood while visitors enjoy amazing waterfront views.

Just south and across the bridge is bustling St. Armand's Circle, a popular destination filled with boutiques, cafes, restaurants and tropical landscaped courtyards. Head north on Longboat Key, cross the Longboat Pass bridge, and find yourself on Bradenton Beach, Anna Maria Island and Holmes Beach. This area offers gorgeous, white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, fun waterfront bars, restaurants and a variety of shops.
