A romantic rooftop apartment with a private balcony overlooking downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea is just steps away from Ocean Avenue and all of the galleries, restaurants and shops that make the town such a distinctive vacation destination.

Old World charm is the hallmark of this newly remodeled 1-bedroom, 1 bath flat with a comfy pull out couch, with many unique and vintage accents that artistic souls will love. A renowned artist-owned gallery, Carmel Art Association, is directly across the street and features works by local painters and sculptors. From this location, it’s easy to park your car and go on foot to many different attractions.

The 425-square-foot residence is on the upper floor of a courtyard that includes numerous businesses, including the popular Toro Sushi Bar, and is also just steps away from the Hog’s Breath Inn, formerly owned by Clint Eastwood, as well as a variety of other well-known restaurants within a few blocks. In addition, the apartment is just a few minutes by car from the beach, and just 10 minutes to the world-class golf courses and restaurants of Pebble Beach®, to monarch butterfly sightings in Pacific Grove, or to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Other attractions within a half hour’s drive are the natural wonders of Big Sur and wine tasting and dining in Carmel Valley Village.

Hardwood floors, whitewashed vaulted ceilings, and handcrafted plaster walls are among the attractive features, as well as vintage built-in cabinets that provide plenty of storage space. A color scheme in soothing tones of white, gray and blue reflect the nearby ocean environment, and eclectic décor captures the creative spirit of Carmel.

Guests enter through a shabby chic door that leads into the living room, where large windows let in generous amounts of natural light, but with curtains if privacy is desired.

A private balcony off the living room features bistro seating and wrought iron railings, a perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

The living room includes a 50-inch HDTV and comfortable seating that includes a full-size sleeper sofa. A kitchen with deep sink, built-in storage and a gas stove are available next to a dining area that seats two.

Bedroom and Bathroom
The bedroom features a queen bed and an en suite bath, with a pedestal sink, a tub/shower combination, large sunflower shower head and a built-in cabinet and drawers with ample room for storing personal items.

An additional sleeping option is located in the living room where there is a full/double size sleeper sofa. Please note that guests sleeping in the living room will need to pass through the bedroom to get to the bathroom.

Laundry service is available but there are no laundry facilities in the building. Cars may be parked on the street - no parking spaces are provided. The City of Carmel has several downtown parking lots with unlimited timing, including one near the flat on Torres and 3rd.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.

This vacation home is professionally managed by Property Manager. With over 15 years of property management experience, we strive to provide environments that nurture and inspire with all the comforts of home.
